READY FOR A MAKEOVER
With Dabanng, Sonakshi Sinha arrived as a whiff of fresh air on the Bollywood horizon, which was till then obsessed with size zeros and anorexic looks. Her ethnic beauty and traditional Indian appeal wowed the red-blooded Indian male, whose fantasies have always veered around a voluptuous Sridevi of Kaate Nahin Kat-te Yeh Din Yeh Raat (Mr India) fame. But, Shotgun's stunning daughter, who has bagged some of the best projects in B'town, is now ready to romance different styles.
Ask the young lady, who has been appreciated a lot for her earthy looks, if she's ready to change her image in her forthcoming films, and pat comes the reply: "I am ready for a makeover if my character demands, although film buffs loved me in my ethnic avatar. In Joker, you will see me in an uber cool incarnation. I'm trying out different looks in Race-2 and Kick as well." And what about Dhoom 3, wherein she's supposed to be playing a super-sexy character? "Contrary to media reports, I am not doing Dhoom 3. My hands are full at the moment," says she with a laugh and signs off.

Looking as svelte as ever, Sonakshi Sinha was unveiled as the new face of Provogue at Yash Raj Studios, Andheri, a western suburb of Mumbai. The actress is certainly going places.
SONAKSHI HAS POTENTIAL: KAMAL HASSAN
South Superstar Kamal Hassan who is in Mumbai attending the three days FICCI Frames 2011 that kick-started today, just announced the name of his so far untitled film with Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha. It's called Vishwaroop to be directed by Selvaraghavan. The fifty five year old actor will play husband to the 20-something Sonakshi.
After wrapping up the inaugural session of FICCI 2011 in the morning, Kamal caught up with the Mumbai media and discussed Vishwaroop other than touching upon topics as varied as World Cup finals, piracy, digital cinema and the resurgence of regional media. Replying to a query on why he has cast the `one-film-old' and the so-young Sonakshi, Hassan said, in his area of work, script is the most powerful tool. "Someone like Sonakshi was the demand of the script. Her looks and demeanor have effortlessly slid into the role. It's shaped up pretty well," he said. He however kept mum on further elaborating her role, where she plays his wife.
Has he seen Sonakshi's work before casting her? "Yes, I saw Dabangg and thought she was good in it. She has lot of potential and that's why I cast her," he smiled defending his choice.
Kamal will be in Mumbai attending the three days FICCI Frames and plans to catch up with his leading lady of `Vishwaroop' Sonakshi, and her family, if time allows. "Let's see, everything depends on the schedule", he said guarding his secret meeting with the actress.
KAMAL HAASAN FILMS ACCEPTED
Sonakshi Sinha has finally made her mind on Kamal Hassan starrer film. The actress, who was unsure of signing the film, has given the nod to act in the film.
Director Selvaraghan has recently narrated the story of the film to Sonakshi Sinha. After hearing the story, the actress said yes to the project. It is also said that Sonakshi and Kamal will be getting equal footage in the film.
The movie is said to be inspired by Hollywood flick Hannibal. Sonakshi Sinha will be stepping into a role made famous by Julianne Moore in the original version. It will hit the floors in April 2011. Other details about the film are still under wraps.
SONAKSHI IN HOUSEFULL 2
We already know that the sequel of Housefull has given entry to Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chunky Pandey, Randhir and Rishi Kapoor. And now the latest buzz is that the film has called on board the veteran star Amitabh Bachchan and our own star Sonakshi Sinha.
Yes, the makers of the film have signed on Sonakshi Sinha and Big B for a prominent role in
Housefull 2.
However, Amitabh’s dates are said to be available only post July, which in turn has brought some delay in the movie’s schedule.
Well, we feel that this time Sajid’s ‘house’ will surely present a ‘full and full’ paisa vasool product.
CHANGING IMAGE OF GAON KI GORI
Sonakshi Sinha, is in "Race 2", will have to rev up the feline quotient to the optimum as director duo Abbas-Mustan want to do away with her ‘gaon ki gori’ image completely. So the actress is busy shedding extra pounds.
"First, I had to lose weight for my debut in Dabangg. Now I’ve to get into even better shape for ‘Joker’ and ‘Race 2′. For the last two years that’s all I seem to be doing. Losing weight. But I am fine with that. Because it’s important for me to look good,” said Sonakshi, 23.
After playing the demure village girl in in “Dabangg”, Sonakshi will get into a serious kickass mode for “Race 2″.
“Bipasha Basu was presented in a very striking way in Race. We’ve to make sure Sonakshi is equally presented in the sequel,” says producer Ramesh Taurani.
But before “Race 2″, there is Shirish Kunder’s “Joker”.
Sonakshi Sinha, who got no opportunity to display her dancing skills in “Dabangg”, was eagerly looking forward to her own slice of Farah Khan’s sizzle in “Joker”.
To her dismay Farah and Shrish have informed her that her character gets no chance to dance in their film.
“I requested Farah to please, please make me dance in her husband’s film. But my character doesn’t have any dance-able opportunities. Sad. We’ll have to wait for another occasion.”
Perhaps “Race 2″ will provide her with a chance to sizzle in a song and a chance to do some serious action.
“Yes,” Sonakshi Sinha says excitedly, “It’s a very guns-and-gadgets subject. And I’m looking forward to doing my own dancing.”
SEDUCTIVE GIRL IN JOKER
You just can’t stop director Farah Khan from speaking her mind and implementing her ideas in reel. After turning Katrina Kaif’s image completely through the song "Sheila Ki Jawani", she wants Bollywood’s latest sensation Sonakshi Sinha in a seductive role.
After playing a demure girl in her debut film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha would soon turn into a hot item if Farah has her way. The director revealed that she is her item girl after Katrina. She added that she wants her to do a seductive role.
Sonakshi has been roped in to act with Akshay Kumar in Joker to be produced by Shirish Kunder and directed by Farah Khan.

MOST IN DEMAND ACTRESS
Sonakshi Sinha is the flavour of the season. 2011 looks like a terrific year for this star kid. She starts to shoot Joker with Akshay Kumar early in the year.
She joins the unit of Race-2 in July with Saif Ali Khan and then goes into Kick with Salman Khan. Rumours say that she is also kicked about the fact that she is being considered for Kunal Kohli's film with Shahid Kapoor, Prabhu Devaa's film with the Khiladi Kumar and wait there is more.
We now hear that Sonakshi Sinha may be seen in Anurag Basu's film Silence (the title is being changed shortly) along with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
Yup, this is the same film that Katrina Kaif turned down because she felt that Piggy Chops had a better role than her. Neither Sonakshi Sinha nor her managers are willing to comment on her films with Shahid and Ranbir. But the industry is buzzing with the news already.

The 23-year-old Sonakshi Sinha kid replaces Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador of the soap brand.
Company officials confirmed to Bollywood Hungama that Sonakshi will be the new face of their product but details of the ad filming are awaited.
Sonakshi's business manager hinted in her tweet on December 19 that Sonakshi is on a six day shoot.
"Christmas week and day 3 of six day shooting shenanigans with @sonakshisinha....call time 6AM!!! Why oh why?!"
